I have loved photography my entire life, but truly discovered my passion when I began the visual journalism program at Western Washington University.
With my background in journalism, I am experienced in a range of styles including event and sports photography as well as lifestyle and commercial work. My time as a photographer features a strong emphasis in sports photography, capturing peak action as well as emotional moments. In addition to photography, I use many of the skills I learned at Western working as a graphic designer.
I love the tight details found during peak action, as well as the unique details of everyday life. I am passionate about design and believe strong design is crucial in first impressions for businesses and organizations.
My professional background includes working as a reporter, photographer, and features editor for The Western Front and as lead photographer and multimedia editor at the Klipsun Magazine in Bellingham. In addition, I worked as the digital media intern for the Pickford Film Center and freelance for The Bellingham Herald.
Upon graduating university in 2016, I've maintained my job at Pizza'zza as the events and marketing manager, while moonlighting as a pizza maker and pizza wagon driver on the side.
I'm available for freelance work, collaborations, and more.
